Privacy Policy
This is the privacy policy for Egerleadership.com and for Eger Leadership & Advisory, the practice of Rabbi Denise L. Eger, PCC, based in Austin, Texas. It explains what this website collects, how it is used, and what choices you have. It is written in plain language on purpose. If anything here is unclear, contact me and I will explain it.
Confidentiality within coaching and advisory engagements is a separate and stronger commitment, described on the confidentiality page. This policy covers the website.
1 · What this site collects
Information you give me. If you write to me, book a conversation, or download something, I receive what you send — typically your name, your email address, and whatever you choose to tell me. Booking a call through Calendly also records the time you selected and your time zone.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, this one logs basic technical information when you visit: pages viewed, date and time, browser and device type, and an approximate location derived from your internet address. This is ordinary server logging. This site does not run analytics or advertising trackers.
Cookies. This site does not set tracking or advertising cookies. A password-protected workshop page sets one session cookie so that you stay signed in while you are on it. You can block or delete cookies in your browser; the site will still work, though a protected page may ask you to sign in again.
Workshop pages. Some pages are password-protected for participants. Entering the password does not identify you to me; it simply opens the page.
What this site does not collect. This site does not process payments and never asks for card or bank details — engagements are invoiced separately. It does not collect information from anyone under eighteen and is not intended for them.
2 · How I use it
To reply to you. To schedule and hold the conversation you asked for. To keep the site working and secure. That is the whole list.
I do not sell your information, rent it, or share it with anyone for their own marketing. I do not buy lists. I do not build profiles.
3 · Who else sees it
A small number of services help run this site and this practice. Each processes only what it needs:
- Website hosting: GoDaddy, which also registers the domain names. GoDaddy’s servers hold the site’s files and its ordinary visitor logs. godaddy.com/legal/agreements/privacy-policy
- Email: Microsoft Outlook (Microsoft 365)
- Scheduling: Calendly holds your name, email, chosen time, and time zone when you book, and generates the meeting link. Calendly states that it does not use the email address you enter to send you marketing. calendly.com/legal/privacy-notice
- Session notes: Granola, used in client sessions only with the client’s agreement, transcribes without storing audio, encrypts what it keeps in a US-hosted environment, is SOC 2 Type 2 audited, and does not permit its providers to train on client material. granola.ai/security
- Video meetings: Zoom. sessions are held on Zoom, which states that it does not use customer content to train artificial intelligence models. zoom.com/trust/privacy
- Video clips: hosted on YouTube; playing one is subject to Google’s privacy policy, and YouTube may set its own cookies when you press play
- File storage: Dropbox, for the practice’s own records
Each has its own privacy policy. I choose them with care and give them no more than they need. Beyond these, I disclose information only where the law requires it or to prevent imminent harm — the same limits described above.
4 · How long I keep it
Records of coaching and advisory engagements: three years, as my credentialing body requires. Session transcripts and notes: deleted once the work has been drawn from them and anonymized, as described above. Correspondence: no longer than three years. Website server logs: twelve months.
5 · How I protect it
The site is served over an encrypted connection. Fonts are hosted on the site itself rather than loaded from a third party, so simply visiting does not announce your visit elsewhere. Practice records are kept in a controlled archive, and no identifying client information is ever entered into an AI system. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure and I will not pretend otherwise, but I take reasonable care, and I take it seriously.
6 · Your choices and your rights
You may ask what information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. You may decline cookies in your browser. Contact me and I will respond within thirty days.
If you are in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, to opt out of its sale (I do not sell it), and not to be treated differently for exercising these rights. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have comparable rights under the GDPR and UK GDPR, including the right to object to processing and to complain to your supervisory authority. I will honor these requests wherever you are.
7 · Links to other sites
This site links outward to my books, to articles about my work, to professional bodies. Once you leave, their privacy practices apply, not mine.
8 · Changes to this policy
If I change this policy I will change the date at the top, and for anything significant I will say so plainly on this page. I will not quietly weaken it.
